Go Back and Tell Her
If you could go back and advise that tiny, wide-eyed girl (you know, the one who still informs every aspect of your life) concerning what lies ahead, what would you tell her? How would you encourage her? How would you attempt to ease her sojourn? Would you caution her? Or maybe you wouldn’t? Perhaps you have no regrets and everything has turned out like you planned? Sure, Jan. Lifelong friends DeAnna Dunn, a successful businesswoman, and Leslie Brennan, a too-old-to-still-be struggling artist, first met over 50 years ago on their elementary school playground. It was friendship at first sight. Despite their lives taking divergent paths, their original bond of weird world view combined with a healthy appreciation for the absurd remains. And they’d like to have a few words with you about what they’ve seen. Allow these friends, and their occasional guests, to take you on a slightly terrifying, brutally honest, and often hilarious journey along the contrasting roads of their lives as they examine what worked and what didn’t, and what they’d ultimately want to Go Back and Tell Her.

We met when plaid bell bottoms, lunar landings and Deliverance were all the rage. Bill Withers allowed us to lean on him and Melanie had a brand new key. There was a reproduction 17th century square-rigged ship in our town's harbor, and a statue of King Massasoit on a hill overlooking the bay. All around us were the hum of protests, Vietnam, Nixon, and horses with no names. Join us as we Go Back and Tell ourselves what we remember about the beginnings of our life-long friendship.
